Expertise is vested in teaching, publishing, course development, public speaking, consulting, translating, linguistics, creative writing, and managing teams and departments. Responsibilities as both an Arabist and a Comparatist include being a subject matter expert and a resource for fellow colleagues, academic professionals, students, the Federal government, service organizations, businesses and the local community.
